Exploring solutions

I prefer to work with people who recognise that going to court should normally be the last resort. In appropriate cases, I believe it’s preferable to work together to solve problems rather than embarking on what is typically a stressful and very expensive court process.

Making informed decisions

I’ll provide you with all the information you need to make the best decisions, including whether or not you need a lawyer.

It’s about communication

  • You’ll be kept up to date with progress
  • Your calls will always be returned and your emails responded to.
  • You’ll have me available to answer your questions
  • You can meet with me after hours

Would you like to get started?

Step one: Schedule an initial meeting with me to discuss your situation.
Step two: As I am a Barrister it is a legal requirement that I am formally retained to work on your behalf by an Instructing Solicitor. It’s akin to they way you might be referred to a specialist by your GP. In the legal world, an Instructing Solicitor is the GP and a Barrister, the specialist. If you don’t already have an instructing solicitor, I can assist you with with organising an instructing solicitor.

Choosing the right legal partner for you

In order to come up with a personalised strategy, a face-to-face consultation is the best start, Our initial meeting is essential because it allows you to explore the potential of appointing me as your legal partner. Family matters necessarily require an amount of communication between you and your lawyer, so it’s of the utmost importance that you’re working with someone you trust and who understands your situation.

What my clients are saying

“At all times I felt respected and listened to.  My situation was one that needed the attention of an excellent lawyer.  I found Karen Monet exactly that.  Karen is the type of person who will put in 110% and that is what makes the difference when choosing someone to represent you.  I would never hesitate to recommend Karen Monet to any person who needed legal representation and if I in the future, required such services again, I would not hesitate to dial Karen’s number first.” – D – West Auckland

“Thank you for your support, I feel that I couldn’t of done this without your help. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart” – J – South Auckland

“My separation, which involved my business as part of matrimonial property, was costing me emotionally and financially as it dragged on, seemingly without resolution. I accepted this as inevitable, even blaming myself for the lack of action. Then, due to changed circumstances, Karen Monet took over my case and suddenly, there was someone always there when I called, a reply to my questions and intelligent, decisive advice, which rapidly carried the matter to a good conclusion. Karen is highly professional and she has a warm, supportive personality which gives real reassurance during a difficult and stressful process” – S – East Auckland
